A gift...

I received a rather expensive present in terms of monetary value but much more expensive in terms of its extrinsic value. It is a watch from Swatch. It is not only a physical present but also another gift from God.

I treasure the present because it is an expensive watch
I am thankful because the present was given on a very special day
I appreciate the person who gave me the present
I am glad that God bring you to me
I am happy that I can wear it everyday and the tinkle of every second is similar to the heartbeat of the person who gave me the present
The watch is a present from you to me and it is a gift from God to me
It is fate that brought us along
The existence delighted and enhanced my moody and gloomy days
Thank you for being with me

The watch, you & me

Another long weekend...

Today is Melaka state public holiday, which means everyone in other states would have Monday blue but people in Melaka would not have because this is a public holiday for them.

From the previous post, I do hate long weekends. This time, I hate it for another reason. This is a very busy and tiring long weekend as I need to study and complete my job. Once again, I brought home my job which is a very not healthy way of working. My mum told me that office working life does not suit me. At times I do have the same thinking. However I think it is about adaption. Nobody are born to be smart and clever. Everyone needs to learn to adapt to new environment and if I do not face my work challenges, I would learn nothing. Even if I had my certification, it doesn't have any implication because I am not learning to adapt to the adult world.

Even though it is a tiring long weekends, but I do see some accomplishment in myself. I've done things for good. I've treated my mum a meal, bought things for my family, bought things for the needful, met an old friend and made a cake for myself. I would not say I've baked a cake but instead I've made a cake because the cake is made from rice cooker. The cake was rather simple. I use 20-30 minutes to make the batter. It is a butter raisin cake. I wouldn't say it is astonishing, but it is adequate for a home made cake.

My pretty cake

On Sunday, I met with my university friend. At first she was saying to have tea time together but end up we went to saloon to do hair treatment. It seems like a very luxurious life-style but it doesn't look like me because I normally do not live a luxurious life-style. Nevertheless, good for my hair too, because my hair was mildly burnt due to the previous straightening session. Every year I need to straighten my hair, and then after, I will regret because my hair looks extremely stiff and burnt at the edges. As usual, hair stylist always regard my hair as overly flat and straight thus this new hair stylist given my a curl as a new breath for my image as I never ever curled my hair before.

Me and my curly hair; does it look nice? Should I give it a hint for the next half?

The following week I will be overwhelmed with my examination matter. I will launch my comprehensive style of hardworking study style. For then, I will become like a busy bee, trying to get whole of each and every empty time slot to study. Hopefully I'm able to spare some time for myself to study as I worry my work will again consume 75% of my day and when the time I get home I am fully exhausted which causes me no energy to study.

Beautiful Sunday Morning

08.04.2012

A bright Sunday morning. A filthy and wholesome sleep and rest after my mock test yesterday. Life has been so hectic and busy ever since I'm back from Beijing. It has been a month and eight days and finally I have the breath to settle down and manage my pictures.

Elise in Beijing China

8.50 a.m. flight to Tianjin by AirAsiaX. Once again I boarded on Air AsiaX, but it wasn't that bad. This time I could choose the food I wanted as I booked my pre-booked meal by myself. I booked chicken rice, taste better than nasi lemak however my mum just had chicken rice a day before so she no appetite to eat it. I felt so bad because I almost had the chicken rice all by my own and she ate her bread and others that she brought along.

Upon arriving in Tianjin, we had a bus journey to Beijing. We arrived in Beijing around 5.30 p.m. It was so cold!
By the way, this was my first winter vacation. All the while, my vacation is only in summer and autumn. I did not have the chance to see snow but the weather was so cold and everyday was hoping for the sun to appear.
During my 5 days vacation, the weather was ranged from 5 degree Celsius to 0 degree Celsius. I'm considered lucky as the weather is able rise up to 5 degree Celsius.

My 5-days vacation was solely in Beijing. It was a rather good place to stay. Despite the hassle bustle of traffic but the people there are nice and pretty civilise. There are many internal emigrants. Beijing caters job, living and opportunities for people from small towns and villages in the northern China. Thus authentic Chinese people are everywhere in Beijing. Further, Beijing is a urban or it might be a metropolitan thus the infrastructure and buildings are well equipped and are in fine condition. Beijing might not be as modern as Shanghai and Hong Kong but I feel that it is a rather fine city to live in.

I simply love the central business development area. There are several sky scrapers even thought they aren't  that tall either. Modernise shopping area that offers the white-collar working people and international are located there. I would say Beijing is a developing metropolitan with thousands of potential to compete with the other metropolitan in the other parts of the world.

Simply share some of my screen shots :)

My dr3am

Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship for Research Student

MY DREAM!

It is the scholarship I wanted badly. I was suppose to apply it last year but due to the earth quake and radiation matter, I gave up. It was a massive disappointment and regret that I'm not able to apply for the scholarship.

This year the scholarship opens again. I would be definitely delight and desire to apply it but my mum would definitely reply me a BIG NO! for my dream. I'm in the midst of dilemma as to obey my mum or to fulfill my dream.

I love Japan. I love the strong discipline culture and belief where I could hardly find it in any parts of the world. It is a very strong country as they are able to develop the country after the massive devastation and destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II. Despite the country is a catastrophic prone country, their determination and spirit to make success out of life impresses me much. They are exposed to earth-quakes, typhoon, volcano eruptions and other natural disaster which you can name it, you can actually experienced them in Japan. Nevertheless they still can be a developed nation and leader in Asia. Aftermath from such natural disaster are always not easy but they just able to make end meets.  Such value and beliefs of Japanese are to be admired and to be exampled.

I'm a die hard Japan fans as I put Japan time zone on my handphone. I simply like the culture there and how the way they live. If I'm given a chance to live in Japan, I would be extremely happy and life has no regret! I do not want to live there forever, but a chance will do.

01.04.2011-April's Fool

Nearly 2 months I've not been blogging.

It is not that I'm extremely busy that I do not have time to blog, is just that I'm lack of ideas on what to write.

01.04.2011-April's Fool

I would use 'playful' to describe this occasion. You can tell lies to anybody or fool anybody and conclude it with "April's Fool" then you can hands off! You need not be responsible for what you had just said or did. So for this 24 hours, one can continue fool others. I remembered during my school days, my mum often reminds me on every first of April. She would tell me, it's April's Fool today, girl, remember not to trust your classmates as they might fool you. It was a very warm and loving reminder from a mum to daughter. As such when first of April comes, I will always remember this warm reminder and never be fooled by others.

If I'm a guy, I will fully utilise this day as I can confess to the person I like. Even though I'm being rejected it won't be so embarrassed and awkward as I can use "April's Fool" to counter it. So at time, this 'April's Fool' is rather useful as it gives someone courage to do something that one do not have the courage to do it. However this does not apply on formal matters.

I've not been seriously fooled today, just a minor fooling which isn't severe at all. Nevertheless, I've been through a rather long day. Many minor missions are accomplished and I've updated my blog. Never ever thought I'll update it. There's once a thought of giving up or abandon the writing habit, but luckily today I  updated it.
