Corporate training

Corporate provides training to their employees, rather similar as student to school to gain knowledge. Corporation would provide several trainings, seminars or briefing to their employees to ensure that they are competent and improve their working efficiency and effectiveness. Common areas that employees needed to be trained or to have advance knowledge are communication skill, customer service, leadership skill and etc. These skills are required to increase employees' job performance. These skills are ordinary skills that we have already know and have been practising it in our daily lives. However these skill would tend to be assimilated into our living style which maybe be affected by our emotions. Thus providing training programmes to enhance and polishing those skills will benefit the employees as well as the employers.


Not every large corporate will provide training to their employee, it depends on the corporate culture and corporate core value to determine whether or not corporation will provide adequate and necessary training to their employees. There's a saying, 'if employee of a company don't grow,the company can't grow'. In my opinion, this is a very good saying because in order for a corporate to grow, it is important for employee to be knowledgeable and competent in their job. Indeed, providing corporate training not only can increase job performance but also increase the satisfaction of employee towards the company. Indirectly, this would lead to higher loyalty of employee towards their employer and reduce employee turnover.


Hence corporate training is essential for the well-being for a corporate.

520

Today is 20.05.2012

In Chinese, we prefer to address the month then followed by day, so today is may the twentieth, in another words, today is 520. Using numbers to represent several phrase is rather common among Chinese, for example 1314, 5354, 520 and etc. 

1314 means 一生一世
5354 means 不三不四
520 means 我爱你

Hence today is the '我爱你' day. I did not notice the existence of this day until I log onto facebook in the morning and saw plenty posts on 520 only I realise today is 520 and it is a very suitable day for someone to express their love message to their love one.

Having someone in your life to love you is a miracle. So for those who are being love should appreciate it well and treasure the person who love you. Similarly, having someone to love in your life is another type of happiness because you are always happy when you think of the person and the person would be the energy for you to move on. Mutually loving each other is the most common and yet most difficult happiness to achieve, as we able to see thousands of loving couple on the street but there are also many people who are still awaiting the appearance their love one. Thus I should address couples who are mutually loving each other to have utmost happiness in their lives and they should have the strongest appreciation that they own the great happiness.

Hence regardless you are the one who's being love, loving someone or mutually loving each other, do grab a chance to say 'I love you' to the person whom you treasure and appreciate. Let's fill the terrible weather of 520 with love air! Love is in the air!

Ambiguous, misery?

It has been long long time that I want to blog but I just couldn't find a topic to write and chat on. 

Referring to the Oxford Advanced Learners' dictionary, the secondary meaning for ambiguous is 'not clearly stated or defined'. This word perfectly suited to my condition right now. I do not have any topic to write on and I have no idea on what to do next. My life is like in the middle of crossroads, diverged roads, or even junctions. Taking a step further to enter either of these roads need a huge courage and determination thus I remain at the same position, waiting an answer to arrive. Similarly, I do not have a single idea on what to blog, hence I share my uncertainty and ambiguity instead. 

The fourth definition for 'misery' in  Oxford Advanced Learners' dictionary is 'a person who is always unhappy and complaining.' I'm in dilemma and misery due to the ambiguity. I feel upset because out of the sudden, I've lost the inspiration to blog. It often bothers me when I would like to write on something but I just can't think of a topic to write and comment on. I guess, maybe I should read more article and newspaper so that they could bloom and inspire my brain on interesting area which I can comment on. I enjoy blogging and feel comfortable to write and share my point of view especially I know no one would actually access to my blog. I use my blog as a place where I can express my feelings and thoughts freely without any interference and objections.
Tomorrow would be a rather important day for me. I'm going back to MMU to meet my lecturer. Certain decision made which might influence the second halves of my 2012. Hopefully they are influential enough and able to bring some positive momentum to the remaining of 2012. Bye bye to ambiguous & misery!

Engagement

Engagement is a commitment to something; in my opinion. As referred to the Oxford online dictionary, engagement is a formal agreement to get married; with further searching of the former, marry is to join together and combine harmoniously. As such, there should be element of responsibility, commitment and companion to another party.



On the 7th and 8th of May, I'm assigned to join an employee engagement training in Concord Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. In another words, I'm 'married' to a company. It is my first visit to the hotel as well as Hard Rock Cafe which situated just beside the hotel.  As usual, I had a rather pleasant journey of training as I can have a slight break from my workplace and reinforcement to my job.

Positive reinforcement and values are often shared in training. It can motivate one to perform better in their job. This is an employee engagement training thus the training contents would be related to the intra-organisational matters. Elements such as organisation's vision, mission and core values are being emphasized and focused on. It is important to inform and acknowledge the newly confirmed staff on their responsibility towards the progress and growth of the organisation. It is a way from the organisation that they value and aware of the existence of these newly confirmed staff. Such training brings optimistic effects to both, organisation and employee. Employee able to feel that they are being recognised and being apart of the big family which may contributed to further commitment in performing their job. Organisation benefits when their employees are motivated and show enthusiasm in their job.

Several modules are allocated in the training such as communication, customer service and business excellence. As the training is provided by an organisation from servicing industry so customer service are their 'number one' priority. Each and everyone who works for a servicing organisation should have and uphold proper customer service, even though there's a department titled 'Customer Service' which solely handles customers' doubt and inquiries. Business excellence is where every departments and units in an organisation working along hand in hand to contribute the company's goal and vision whereby teamwork no longer the only method to achieve them.
